Cross Process app

I was going to jump right into this post and pretend I hadn't completely disappeared for an entire month.  But I suppose an explanation is in order--I've just felt so so busy ever since I started my new job! I know, I know.  First, I was a bad blogger because I was looking for a job.  Now, I'm a bad blogger because I found one!

Ah well . . . this isn't just another bad blogger post.  I promised I'd share some pics using the Cross Process app (2 months ago, if you can remember that far back!), so you see, I keep my promises.

I was pretty obsessed with the ShakeIt app for a while.  Then Ray got me really into the Cross Process app.  Below are examples of the two apps using a pic Ray shot of me on our last trip to NY.

 Cross Process app

I think the Cross Process app is really great because you can achieve different looks by changing the color balance.  In fact, it's been my app of choice for all my recent food pics . . .

 Yaki Don, Cafe Mami
Cambridge, MA

  Fish Tacos, El Pelon
Brighton, MA

Breakfast Sandwich, McKenna's
Dorchester, MA

Everything was delicious, except for the tacos which were whatevs.  After the original El Pelon in Fenway closed due to a fire, Ray and I have been anxiously awaiting the re-opening.  Instead, another location in Brighton opened up and it was a total let down. I want to try back in a month--maybe they'll have their act together by then . . .

Shabu Shabu

Can you believe I had never had Shabu Shabu til last January? Ray and I went for AB's birthday and, actually, no one at the table had been to a hot pot restaurant before.  We all loved everything.

Isabel Marant

Good Lord! This collection is amazing.  I tried to narrow down the images to my top five, but there are at least a dozen more looks that made me completely freak out.   See them here.

Ioselliani

I was browsing through Honey in the Rough and  stumbled upon some AMAZING layered rings by Italian jewelry line, Ioselliani.  The rings in these sets can be worn either separately or stacked and layered.  Yeah--I don't know how they could be any more perfect.

Madewell Love

More love for one of Mickey Drexler's stores . . . I'm really into this Madewell look and I'm really looking forward to the Alexa Chung collection.  And I'm reaaaaaaally excited about finally wearing the platforms in my closet that have I've only worn in public once because I've been too chicken . . .

Ah yes, and this look reminded me of the A.P.C. bag I reaaaaaally need . . .

Ebelskiver Pancakes

I love window shopping for food!  Over the weekend, Ray and I stopped by Williams-Sonoma so I could drool.  As a result, I now have a burning desire to try my hand at ebelskiver pancakes.  These Danish treats are traditionally filled with an apple mixture, but considering Ray's obsession with Nutella, I think my first batch should be a vanilla pancake with a chocolate hazelnut filling.  Ebelskiver pancakes can even be filled with savory ingredients like fig and proscuitto.  Mmm!
